"I was enthused when Liina told me about the idea of this book. My work for the 'I love Japan' project was inspired by the things I was interested in as a child. Being little I was always outside. I remember laying in the grass of my mother's garden talking to the animals I met. I was amazed by the variety of form, colours and characters. For this project, I portrayed some of them. I always wanted to visit Japan but haven't had the chance yet. Maybe there will be a chance after our baby arrives in May."
